04-07-2009 - Time to Close Up

On May 22nd Porky reopened the forums and announced that if nothing changed in a month they would be closed permanently. Well it has been over a month and nothing and changed. There were about 10 spamers that posted and were banned, but that's about it. Of course much can be blamed on that fact that I closed the forum initially for the same reason and I don't think anyone even thought to return. (And for this reason I'm not sure why I'm writing this new article.)

I've done all I can for this site, which really when you get down to it was probably doomed for fail from the beginning. We had the usual "I started a forum" introduction which normally fails. There's not much else to say, but I decided to help make a site since I had quite a bit of free time and it was useful as a testing ground for my own PHP content management system. Lots of bugs were found using this site so in the end I suppose it didn't fail completely.

There's really not a whole lot more to say about this site. Some of the planned features were never finished as Porky could not get anyone to volunteer and he certainly couldn't do all of it himself. Even our actively updated gallery eventually fell to neglect!

So in all it's time to put an end to this site.

01-12-2008 - 1st NC Mario Kart Wii Tournament: Entry now open!

It is time for Nintendoid Central to hold the 1st (of what should have been many) Online events for our Nintendoids to partake in.
